Mandarin Pancakes - These fine wheat
pancakes are sold fresh or frozen in Asian supermarkets. Steam to
reheat. They are served as an accompaniment to Peking duck and other
dishes; the idea is to spread the pancake with hoisin or plum sauce,
perhaps sprinkle on some shredded spring onion or cucumber, then add the
meat and use your fingers to roll up the pancake.
Kuihs are an Asian desserts which
originate from the Malay villages in Malaysia, Singapore and Malaysia
and not very well known to those outside Southeast Asia.
