Thoroughly mix sugar, salt and
vanilla. Add the beaten eggs and stir well. Add oil, stir once more,
then divide mixture into half. Divide the flour into half. Take 1
tbsp of flour from one half and add it to the other. Add cocoa
powder, half of the sugar and egg mixture and 50ml water to the
mixture with the smaller portion of flour to form a soft dough.
Mix the rest of the flour to the
remaining sugar and egg mixture and add 50ml of water. Knead until
smooth and not sticky to the touch. Separately, roll both pieces of
dough out on a plastic covered cutting board until they are about
1mm thick. Place the two together, then roll up. Wrap with plastic
and place in the refrigerator for approximately an hour or until the
dough hardens.
Cut the dough into 2mm, thickness with
a sharp knife. Flatten once more with a rolling pin. Fry in hot oil
until crisp. Remove and drain.
