Dodol Durian Recipe

Ingredients :

500 g

1 teaspoon

850 g

850 g

9 cups


1 bowl

glutinous rice flour


brown sugar


coconut milk, extracted from 21/2 grated coconut

screw pine leaves

durian flesh

Method :

Mix the glutinous rice flour with the coconut milk in a pan. Stir over a medium flame, making sure it does not burn. When the mixture starts to thicken, add the sugar and durian flesh. Stir slowly over a low flame until thick and glossy. Cool and cut before serving.

Serves 6-8

Durian is a seasonal rather distinctive Malaysian fruit. Because of the powerful smell, foreigners take some time to get accustomed to it.
