Method :
- Boil the sugar and water until the
sugar dissolves.
- Add the screw pine leaves.
- Stir in the egg yolks and pour into a
mould.
- Slowly shake the mould so that the
yolks sink in the sugar syrup.
- The yolks will now appear like
strands.
- Using a thin stick or skewer, join
these strands so that they will form a net.
- Sieve and cool.
Serves 6 - 8
This is a specialty of the East Coast
states of Malaysia whose people are well known for their sweet tooth.
