Honeycomb Cake (Caramel) Recipes

Ingredients :

125g margarine

5 eggs

105g all-purpose flour, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda (all sifted together)

140g cup sweetened condensed milk


Caramel Ingredients:

250g sugar, 250ml water (boiled till golden brown in color)


For Decoration:

60g icing sugar

Method :

Beat margarine till fluffy. Add in eggs, one at a time, alternately with flour. Add condensed milk and caramel. Mix well. Pour into a greased and lined 23-cm round cake tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 40 minutes until very spongy to touch. Invert onto a serving platter. Let it cool before slicing. Sprinkle icing sugar on cake before serving.
