Sweet Potato Balls With Sweet Filling Recipe

Ingredients :

600 g

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon




sweet potato

tapioca flour



grated coconut, white part only; add salt and mix well

screw pine leaves, shredded and pounded to extract the juice

block palm sugar, chopped

salt to taste

Method :

Scrub the sweet potato and boil until soft.

Mash and strain the fibers.

Prepare filling.

Mix the chopped palm sugar with ordinary sugar.

Mix the mashed sweet potato with flour and knead well to get an elastic dough.

Add screw pine juice to give the dough a green color.

Shape the dough into marble size balls and flatten them.

Put in 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center and reshape into balls.

Boil a pan of water and when it is boiling, drop in the cakes.

The cakes will float when cooked.

Lift and strain.

Roll in the grated coconut and serve immediately.

Serve 6-8
