Alfalfa Biscuits Recipes

Ingredients :

75 g clear honey

50 g butter

few drops of vanilla essence

50 g wholemeal flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda

100 g rolled oats

50 g alfalfa sprouts

Method :
  1. Preheat oven to 350F, Gas 4.
  2. Grease 3 baking sheets.
  3. Cream the honey, butter and essence until light and fluffy.
  4. Work in the flour, baking powder and soda.
  5. Add the oats and chopped sprouts and mix well.
  6. Drop spoonfuls on baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes.
  8. Lift carefully on to a wire rack to cool.

Tempting little biscuits with an unusual texture.

Serves 4 - 6
