Bran Fruit Loaf Recipe

Ingredients :

All Bran

brown sugar

sultanas

currants

seedless raisins

milk

wheat meal self raising flour

Method :
  1. Heat the oven to 180oC (350oF), Gas 4.

  2. Grease a 900 g loaf tin.
  3. Soak the All Bran, sugar and dried fruits in the milk in a bowl for 30 minutes until the milk has been absorbed.
  4. Stir in the flour and turn into the loaf tin.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour.

Alternative Suggestion :

The mixture of dried fruits can be varied within the given quantity - chopped stoned dates, chopped figs and mixed candied peel - and up to 50 g chopped nuts can be added.

Makes 1 X 900 g

Per Biscuit : 1819 Calories, 18 g fat, 53 g fiber.
