Method :

Preheat oven to 180C and grease a 20cm
ring tin.

Beat together butter and sugar until
creamy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well
after each addition.

Stir in flour alternately with milk.

Add carrot, walnuts, almonds and
cherries, beating with a wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed.

Spread evenly in prepared tin.

To prepare topping: combine all
ingredients in a bowl.

Sprinkle topping over cake batter and
bake for 40-50 minutes.

Leave in tin for 5 minutes then
carefully turn out.
