Warm the golden syrup. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl,
then stir in the sugar and warm syrup. Add the milk and beaten eggs to form a
dropping consistency like thick cream. Heat the griddle and lightly grease
it.
Drop tbsp of mixture into rounds on
the griddle, making sure they do not overlap. Turn over when little bubbles appear
on the top and the bottom is golden brown, then cook on the other
side. Leave to cool in a clean tea towel. Serve warm or cold with butter, honey
or jam.
