Method :

Heat the oven to 170oC (325oF),
Gas 3.

Grease a 450 g loaf tin.

Mix together the flour and salt and
make a well in the center.

Gently melt the honey, treacle and half
the milk.

Dissolve the soda in the remaining milk
and mix with the other milk mixture.

Pour into the flour and stir in the
fruit.
-
Turn into the tin.
-
Bake for 11/2
-13/4
hours, until a skewer pierced through the centre of the loaf comes out
clean.
Makes 1 X 450 g loaf.
