Method :

Heat the oven to 180oC (350oF),
Gas 4.
- Line a 900 g loaf tin with greased
foil.
- Gently melt the margarine in the milk.
- Remove from the heat and beat in the
egg, wheat germ, cracked wheat and sugar.
- Leave to cool.
- Sift together the flours, baking
powder, soda and salt and add any bran remaining in the sieve.
- Make a well in the center and stir in
the milk mixture.
- Turn into the tin and level the top,
sprinkle with a little whole meal flour and bake for 45-50 minutes.
Serving Suggestion :
This is delicious served warm with
cheese, celery and radishes and other crunchy salad vegetables.
Makes 1 X 900 g loaf.
