Ingredients :
2 cups

31/2 cups
fine rice
screw pine leaves (pandan)
cups water
salt to taste
Clean the rice and cook in water and screw pine leaves.
Add in salt.
Stir constantly to break up the grains.
When the rice is cooked, remove from the pot and put in a tray.
Cover the rice with a muslin cloth and compress it with a heavy object.
Leave aside for half a day.
Cut the rice into neat cubes and serve with satay gravy or beef floss.
