Steamed Cake Recipe

Ingredients :

50 g

75 ml

100 g

1 tablespoon

egg

brown sugar

fresh milk

self raising flour

vegetable fat

golden syrup for topping

Method :
  1. Beat the eggs in a bowl until light.
  2. Stir in the sugar and milk.
  3. Fold in the sifted flour and mix well.
  4. Melt the fat and leave to cool before pouring into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 20 cm tin and steam vigorously for 20-30 minutes.
  6. Remove the cake from the tin and cut into squares or triangles.

Serves 4 - 6
