Method :

Preheat oven at 180 degree C.

Mix butter and white sugar in a mixing
bowl and beat until creamy.

Add one egg at a time and beat until
smoothly mixed.

Sift self-raising flour and baking
powder together for 2-3 times.

Alternately fold in shifted flour and
milk and mix well.

Add in vanilla essence and mix well.
-
Pour into a greased and floured cake
tin and bake at 180 degree C for 40 minutes.
Note :
a) Evaporated milk can be replaced by
sweetened condensed milk.
b) Add/Reduce sugar to taste.
c) Square cake tin of similar size can be
used in replacement of the round cake tin.
