Chocolate Honey Slice Recipes

Ingredients :

honey

butter, melted and cooled

vanilla essence

cinnamon

eggs, beaten

self-raising flour

finely ground toasted muesli

 

semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

icing sugar, sifted

evaporated milk

butter

chopped walnuts or almonds

Method :
  1. Preheat oven to 180C and grease an 18 x 28cm shallow tin.

  2. Combine honey, butter, vanilla, cinnamon and eggs in a bowl.

  3. Stir in flour and muesli, beating well to mix.

  4. Pour batter evenly into prepared tin and bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.

  5. Remove from the oven.

  6. To prepare topping: place chocolate, icing sugar, milk and butter in the top half of a double saucepan.

  7. Stir over hot water until smooth.

  8. Spread over hot slice.

  9. Sprinkle with walnuts and cool in pan.

  10. Cut into slices to serve.
