Chocolate Pecan Torte Recipes

Ingredients :

1 cup

egg whites

caster sugar

cocoa, sifted

chopped pecan nuts

dark chocolate, grated

thickened cream, whipped

extra pecan nuts to decorate

Method :
  1. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

  2. Gradually add sugar, beat for a further 5 minutes until mixture is thick and glossy.

  3. Fold in cocoa, pecan nuts and grated chocolate, spread mixture into a greased, foil-lined and greased, 22cm spring form pan.

  4. Bake at 160C for 45 minutes.

  5. Leave cake to cool in pan.

  6. Decorate torte with whipped cream and extra pecan nuts.

Serves 7-9
