Thinly
pare the rind of 1 orange and reserve. Peel
the oranges, removing every trace of white pith. Thinly
slice the oranges, using an electric carving knife if you have one. Peel
the lychees and kiwi fruit, using a very sharp knife or a rotating
potato peeler. Slice
the fruits. To
make the syrup, bring the orange juice and lemon juice to the boil
with the orange rind, then leave to cool. Discard the orange rind and stir in the liqueur or wine. Toss
together the sliced oranges, lychees, kiwi fruit and bananas and
pour over the syrup.
