Apples Oak Pudding Recipe

Ingredients :

40 g

100 g

25 g

50 g


275 ml

500 g

2.5 ml


rolled oats

brown sugar

wheat meal self raising flour



cooking apples, cored and sliced

ground cinnamon

Method :
  1. Heat the oven to 190oC (375oF), Gas 5.
  2. Grease a 20 cm or 8 in square baking tin.
  3. Melt the margarine in a pan over low heat, stir in the oats and sugar and remove from the heat.
  4. Stir in the flour.
  5. Beat together the eggs and milk and gradually beat in to the oats mixture.
  6. Arrange half of the apple slices on the base of the tin.
  7. Cover with the oats mixture, smoothing the top.
  8. Arrange the remaining apples on top and sprinkle with the cinnamon.
  9. Bake for 50-55 minutes, until the filling is set.
  10. Serve hot or cold.

Serves 6

Per Serving : 425 Calories, 10 g fat, 4 g fiber.
