Method :
-
This
is a quick mix pudding.
-
Beat
together the flour, baking powder, ginger, sugar, margarine and eggs
until the mixture is smooth.

Stir
in the figs.

Pour
the honey into the base of a greased 11/2
pt (1 liter) pudding basin.

Pour
in the mixture, cover with foil and a cloth and tie.

Steam
the pudding on a trivet over boiling water for 13/4
hours, topping up with more water as necessary.

Heat
all the sauce ingredients over low heat, stirring to dissolve the
honey.

Simmer
gently for 5 minutes.

Turn
out the pudding and serve the sauce separately.
