Custard Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

3/4 cup milk

2 egg yolks

2 tbsp sugar

1/8 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

Method :

Scald milk in top of double boiler over direct heat. Beat egg yolks in small bowl. Blend in sugar and salt and gradually stir in hot milk. Return mixture to top of double boiler and set over simmering water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a metal spoon (about 10 minutes). Cool. Stir in vanilla.
