1 small apple, peeled, cored and cut into
8 wedges
1 cup unsweetened canned peaches in
natural juice, made up of approximately
1/2 cup peaches and 1/2 cup liquid
1 small pear, peeled, cored and cut into 8
wedges
12 whole cherries
4 yellow plums, cut into half and stoned
2 cloves
pinch ground cinnamon
Method :
Place
ingredients in saucepan, with apple at the bottom and peaches on the
top. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes or until all
fruit is tender. Cool and place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours
before serving in glass dishes.
To store -
cover and refrigerate for up to three days.
This is
usually a chilled dessert, but you can serve it hot. Vary the fruit
according to season and your preference. For instance, if fresh plums
are not available, use canned, unsweetened apricot halves or peach
slices which you add after the other fruit has been cooked.
