Coeur À La Crème Recipes

Ingredients :

1 pound nonfat yogurt cheese

1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

2 tbsp confectioners sugar

1 pint strawberries, cleaned and sliced

Method :

Place the yogurt cheese in a medium-size bowl. Add the vanilla and sugar and stir until well blended. Line the mold with cheesecloth. Spoon the cheese mixture into the mold, smooth the top, and set on a plate. Refrigerate for 24 hours to allow the cheese to drain and produce a firm heart shape. Unmould onto a serving plate. Remove the cheesecloth and serve with strawberries.

Serves 8-10

Until now, this was the richest dessert one could eat. Substituted the nonfat yogurt cheese to create a fat-free replacement for this classic recipes. You will need a heart-shaped porcelain cheese mold with draining holes and some cheesecloth for this.
