Badam Ka Halwa Recipes

Ingredients :

almonds, blanched chopped


clarified butter (ghee)


green cardamom (choti elaichi)

saffron (kesar)


Method :
  1. Blend the almonds with a little milk to make a fine paste.
  2. Heat clarified butter in pan.
  3. Cook almond paste over medium heat until it becomes light golden.
  4. Add milk and sugar, cook for 10 - 15 minutes, until the mixture becomes thick.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add cardamom powder and saffron.
  7. To serve cold, spread on a greased tray, cut into small squares.
  8. To serve hot, ladle individual into a dessert plate.

Serves 4-5

Preparation time : 30 minutes

Dessert time : 20 minutes
