Gulab Jamun Recipes

Ingredients :

1 liter

300 g

15 g

30 g

1 tsp

fresh milk



cottage cheese

rose essence

pinch of soda bicarbonate

ghee for frying

Method :
  1. Boil the milk over a low fire, stirring constantly to prevent burning, until it thickens to a very heavy consistency.
  2. Melt sugar in pan and add enough water to make a thick syrup.
  3. Add essence.
  4. Mix the other ingredients with the cooked milk to form a fine dough, adding a few drops of milk or water if necessary.
  5. Make small round balls from the dough (marble size), and deep fry in ghee.
  6. Remove and soak in syrup.
  7. Serve hot or cold.
