cream was used to make rich syllabubs, and buttermilk was added to
pancake batter. Liqueurs have a spirit base (usually brandy)
that is blended with sugar syrup and flavored with coffee beans, citrus oils,
herbs and spices. Liqueurs have a natural affinity with desserts, cakes and
after-dinner coffee. Do not mix cakes in blenders or processors
unless specified. Use a small electric mixer for best results. Remember to keep
scraping the mixture from the sides of the bowl for even mixing. |
