Triticale Pancakes Recipes

Ingredients :

50 g coarse oatmeal

6 tbsp water

50 g whole meal flour

1 tsp baking powder

pinch of slat

100 g adzuki bean sprouts

50 g triticale sprouts

1 small onion

2 eggs

25 g melted butter

oil for frying

Method :
  1. Soak the oatmeal in the water for 60 minutes.
  2. Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Chop the sprouts finely and chop the onion very finely.
  4. Add to the mixture with beaten eggs and butter, beat well.
  5. Heat oil in a thick frying pan and drop in spoonfuls of the mixture.
  6. Flatten slightly with the back of spoon.
  7. Cook until golden brown on all sides, ready to serve.

Serve these puffy little pancakes with a crisp salad, and with some grilled bacon if liked.

Serves 4 - 6
