Sticky Glazed Apples Recipes

Ingredients : |
4 cooking apples, cored
50g sultanas
50g light soft brown sugar
25g butter, cut into 4 pieces
6 tbsp orange juice
125g golden syrup |
Method :

Using a sharp knife, make a circular
cut around the waist of each apple, to prevent the skin from
bursting.

Arrange the apples in a buttered
shallow ovenproof dish.

Mix the sultanas and sugar in a bowl;
spoon into the cavities in the apples.

Top each with a piece of butter.

Heat the orange juice and golden syrup
in a small saucepan until the syrup has melted, then spoon over the
apples in the dish.

Cook in oven, 375F, gas mark 5,
basting with the orange mixture occasionally, for 50 minutes or
until the apples are tender.

Serve hot with custard, cream or ice
cream.
