Put 2 tsp
brown sugar, 2 slices of lemon, 2 cinnamon sticks, 6 whole cloves,
1/4 cup (60ml / 2 fl oz) whisky and 2 cups (500ml / 16 fl oz)
boiling water in a heatproof jug. Stir to combine and leave to
infuse for a few minutes, then strain through a sieve. Add a little
more sugar if necessary.
