Traditional Muay Chee Recipes

Ingredients :

2 cups

1/2 cup

glutinous rice flour

plain water

raw peanuts

fine granulated white sugar

Method :

Part 1

  1. Roast peanut with microwave oven for 8 minutes or until all peanuts are well roasted. (stir the peanuts every minute after the 1st 4 minutes)

  2. Peel the skin of the roasted peanuts and grind. (allow 30 minutes standing time for peanut to harden before grinding).

  3. Mix peanuts evenly with sugar.

Part 2

  1. Mix glutinous white flour with water.

  2. Stir until mixed evenly.

  3. Place the mixed dough in microwave oven and cook for 4 minutes or until the mixture is evenly cooked.

  4. Take a portion of the cooked glutinous rice and let it rest on the peanuts and sugar mixture.

  5. Cover the portion with the peanut and sugar mix.

  6. Use a pair of scissors to cut the glutinous rice into serving sizes.

Note :

a) Peanuts must be remaining dry after grind. (over grind peanuts will become sticky)

b) Add/ reduce sugar to taste.

c) Oil scissors for better non-stick (if necessary)
