Dried Fruit Compote Recipe

Ingredients :

375g dried fruits (eg. prunes, apples, peaches, apricots)

750ml cold water

Method :
  1. Place the fruit in a bowl and add water.

  2. Cover and leave to stand overnight.

  3. Drain the fruit.

  4. Serve with a topping of plain, low fat natural yoghurt and a sprinkling of chopped nuts.

This also makes an excellent breakfast dish eaten plain, with yoghurt, or with breakfast cereal.

To vary : Alternatively, serve warm, with its cooking juices, plus an accompaniment of Cream Cheese Topping.

To store : Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
