Sweet Rice Balls with Adzuki Bean Soup Recipes

Ingredients :

adzuki beans

brown sugar

glutinous rice flour

dried tangerine peel

water

cold boiled water

adzuki bean paste

Method :
  1. Wash and soak adzuki beans for 2 hours.

  2. Soak and clean dried tangerine peel.

  3. Bring water to the boil.

  4. Put in adzuki beans and dried tangerine peel.

  5. When it has just boiled, turn on medium heat and cook until adzuki beans become "sandy" texture.

  6. Season with brown sugar.

  7. Knead bean paste into dices.

  8. Chill for 1/2 hour.

  9. Place glutinous rice flour in a large bowl.

  10. Gradually add in cold boiled water.

  11. Knead mixture into a dough and wrap with bean paste, form to rice balls.

  12. Bring 1/2 pot water to the boil.

  13. Put in rice balls.

  14. Cook until they all float.

  15. Remove and pour in adzuki bean soup

  16. Ready to serve.
