Apple Brown Betty Recipe

Ingredients :

50 g

225 g

500 g

225 g

margarine

muesli base

cooking apples, cored and sliced

dried apricots, soaked and drained

grated rind and juice 1 oranges

Method :
  1. Heat the oven to 180oC (350oF), Gas 4.
  2. Melt the margarine and stir in the cereal and orange rind.
  3. Pour the orange juice and 30 ml or 2 tablespoons water into a 1 liter baking dish.
  4. Arrange a layer of apple slices and apricots.
  5. Spread over a layer of the cereal mixture and continue in layers, finishing with the cereal.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve hot.

Serves 6

Per Serving : 300 Calories, 10 g fat, 14 g fiber.
