Preheat the
oven to 350F, Gas 4. Place the blueberries, sugar, flour and lemon rind
in a large bowl. Stir gently to coat the blackberries, then transfer to
a 1.75 liter baking dish. To make the topping, sift the flour, sugar,
baking powder and salt into a large bowl and set aside. Blend the milk
and butter in a large jug.
Gradually
pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until the
mixture is just smooth. Spoon the mixture over the blackberries,
spreading evenly. Sprinkle the surface with the sugar and nutmeg
mixture. Bake for about 50 minutes, until the topping is set and lightly
browned. Serve hot.
