bananas, cut slantwise into 2 inch (5 cm) pieces |
Method :

Bring
the wine, sugar, cinnamon and ginger slowly to the boil, stirring to
dissolve the sugar.

Add
the grapes and simmer for 3 minutes.

Pour
the hot wine and grapes over the bananas and leave to cool.

Discard the cinnamon.

Serve
cool but not chilled.
Serves 4
Note :
This is a 'same day' recipe - the bananas soften and start fraying
at edges if they are prepared more than an hour or so ahead.
