Campfire Banana Boats Recipe

Campfire Banana Boats Recipes

Ingredients :

4

1

ripe (but not brown) bananas, still in their peels

4-ounce bar milk chocolate

mini-marshmallows

Method :
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°C.

  2. Slice the bananas down the middle lengthwise, without cutting through the peel on the opposite side.

  3. Pack 1/4 of the chocolate bar and as many marshmallows as you can fit down the middle of each banana.

  4. Wrap tightly in foil.

  5. Lay the foil packs on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted and gooey.

  6. Remove and serve a whole foil pack on a plate to catch drips, since you're not actually sitting outside by a fire.

Serves 4

Tale chocolate and marshmallows, add a campfire, and you've probably got some fabulously sticky, melting dessert. The classic of a toasted marshmallow squashed between two graham crackers with a square of chocolate, really require a campfire for the proper flavor, but banana boats can be successfully transferred to the kitchen.
