Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients :

6 oz sugar

1/4 pint water

8 oz cranberries, fresh or frozen

1-2 tbsp port

Method :
  1. Dissolve the sugar in the water in a saucepan, and bring to the boil.
  2. Stir occasionally and boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the cranberries, cover the pan and simmer gently until they have all popped.
  4. Remove the lid from the pan and continue simmering for 5 minutes, until tender.
  5. You may add 1-2 tbsp port, and leave to cool.
  6. Serve with roast turkey, lamb or game.
