Dried Fruit In Cider Recipes

Ingredients :

275 ml

1 tablespoon

5 cm

350 g

150 ml

2-3 drops

2 tablespoons

dry cider

lemon juice

piece cinnamon

mixed dried fruits - apple rings, apricots, peaches, pears, prunes

plain low fat yoghurt

drops cinnamon essence

blanched almonds, toasted

Method :
  1. Bring the cider, lemon juice and cinnamon to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. Pour the hot cider over the fruit, cover and leave to macerate for at least 4 hours.

  3. Discard the cinnamon stick.

  4. Beat the yoghurt and cinnamon essence and swirl over the fruit to serve.

  5. Scatter with the almonds.

  6. Serve at room temperature - not chilled.
