Fruit with Dumplings Recipes

8-ounce can fruit cocktail

sugar

butter or margarine

lemon juice

sifted all-purpose flour

sugar

baking powder

salt

milk

salad oil

ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Method :
  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan.

  2. Bring to boil.

  3. In small bowl, sift together dry ingredients.

  4. Stir in milk and oil.

  5. Drop in 2 portions onto boiling hot fruit.

  6. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon or nutmeg.

  7. Cover; cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes.

  8. Serve with light cream.

Makes 2 servings
