Quick Apple Pielets Recipes

stick pie crust mix

medium tart apples, pared, cored, and sliced (2 cups)

sugar

water

lemon juice

ground cinnamon

cornstarch

cold water

Method :
  1. Prepare pie crust mix according to package directions.

  2. Roll to 12x6-inch rectangle; cut into 3-inch squares with pastry wheel or knife.

  3. Prick with fork.

  4. Bake on baking sheet at 450 for 8-10 minutes or till lightly browned.

  5. Combine apples, sugar, water, lemon juice and cinnamon in small saucepan.

  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring once or twice, for 5 minutes or till tender.

  7. Combine cornstarch and cold water; stir into apple mixture.

  8. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.

  9. Remove from heat; cool.

  10. For each serving, spoon some filling between two pastry squares; top each with more filling.

  11. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
