Glace Icing Recipes

Ingredients :

200g

1-4 tbsp

1/2 tsp

1 tsp

30g

2-3 tbsp

icing sugar, sifted

water

vanilla essence

instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water

chocolate melted and cooled

lemon juice or liqueur

Method :

Mix icing sugar with water to a thick paste. Add flavoring of your choice. Place in a bowl over hot water.

When warm and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, pour over cakes. (If icing is too thick, add a little more water; if too thin, add a little more icing sugar.)

Makes for 1 cake

The cake must be completely cold before you ice with glace icing.
