Rice Pie Shell Recipe

Ingredients :

185g cooked brown rice

1 egg, lightly beaten

Method :
  1. Combine the rice and egg.
  2. Spray a pie dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Firmly and evenly press out the rice mixture over the base of the pie dish.
  4. Spoon in the filling of your choice and bake as directed in your fillings recipe.

Use this as a base for sweet or savory pies which have baked fillings, for instance, pumpkin or custard.
