Preheat oven to 190C and grease an
18 x 28cm shallow tin.
In a large bowl, stir together
flour, sugar, dried fruits and nutmeg.
Add remaining ingredients and beat
with a wooden spoon until well blended.
Pour into prepared tin and bake
for 30-35 minutes until top springs back when gently pressed.
Cool and cut into slices to serve.
Makes about 24
For a delicious topping, mix together
300ml sour cream and 1 cup brown sugar. Pour over slice 10 minutes
before cooking time is complete. Topping will set as slice cools. Cool
in tin before cutting.
